HOW SEXUAL ENERGY BRINGS OUT YOUR Inner Creative

HOW SEXUAL ENERGY BRINGS OUT YOUR Inner Creative

Tap that ass so you can tap into your inner creative.

In a creative rut? Go have sex.

No, seriously. Sex is the ultimate expression of creativity. In fact, it is literally what gives everything life. So, if you aren’t using sex to create life (hello, babies), then you should channel that sexual energy into other creative things in your life.

For you, that may mean dancing. For some, that may mean taking photos. And for others, that may mean painting a picture. Whatever creativity looks like to you, when you tap into that creative energy, the feeling is electric. It feels like a high that you want to ride forever. Sounds like sex, right? The two go hand-in-hand, so let’s start using them together to create all kinds of beauty and happiness in our lives.

Read on to find out how you can tap that ass in the bedroom to tap into that creative genius inside you.

Sex & Creativity

“Creativity is very individual,” shares Pernille Kjeldsen, the PR & Partnerships Director for L.A.-based artist Mikael B. “It’s a process where most artists forget about time and place and become one with their art.” Creativity, she says, is “a part of their identity.”

So what happens when you feel like you’ve lost your identity?

Few things feel better than when you are all aboard the creative train, and it is headed for the stars. But few things feel worse than when the creative train comes to a screeching halt.

If you find yourself at that halted place regularly, take a look at your sex life. Has it come to a halt, too? Is your sex life stagnant? Or maybe even non-existent?

Whether you’re in a relationship or flying solo, sex is a necessary part of life. It doesn’t matter whether it’s sex with someone else or sex with yourself, your body needs sex to be creative. Sexual energy is creative energy and without it, your creative train will always struggle to get moving.

So if you’re feeling stuck in your creativity, it’s time to take it to the sheets. The more you’re in touch with your deeper sexual energy, the more you’re able to get creative. “I see sex as a way for you to let go of tensions, stress, and all the daily obligations . . . let loose and [get] experimental,” shares Pernille.

Try This

Speaking of experimental, I have a way for you to really harness your sexual energy.

Next time you’re having sex (whether that’s solo play or with a partner), let yourself build up to orgasm, but don’t go over the edge. I know, I know. That sounds like torture. But trust me. This is how you can get the highest concentration of creative energy and get that train really moving.

Your body creates the highest levels of dopamine as you work your way closer and closer to orgasm. Dopamine is the hormone that provides feelings of pleasure and desire. Thus, when it is activated at the first stimulation in sex, you want more; you want more pleasure, more desire. Dopamine continues to build and build until it gets to the top and oh yessss! Orgasm is achieved. Once you have orgasmed, prolactin is released to decrease arousal. Prolactin is a dopamine inhibitor that brings down our sexual drive post-orgasm and increases our feelings of sexual satisfaction.

And this is where my argument for stopping yourself before orgasm comes in. Doing this leaves you will all that dopamine to pour into your creative work.

While this is the ultimate practice of self-control, it can also be the ultimate form of creativity.

So get out there, have sex, and prepare for all the juices to start flowing.
