HOW TO DIY THE PERFECT MORNING Detox Shot

Did you wake up feeling like you needed a little something extra to get you through the day?

No matter what has you feeling less-than-amazing in the morning, I’ve got just the thing that will pick you up and give you the best way to start the day (well second-best next to morning sex).

On the days when you’re hungover, bloated, or need some extra vitamin C, this shot of spicy deliciousness will have you feeling much better in no time.

All of the ingredients are easy to grab at your favorite local grocery store and will put a much smaller dent in your wallet than buying a pre-made shot.

Plus, things like this just feel even more healthy when you DIY them, you know?

Here’s how to make it.

Visceral’s Fave Morning Detox Shot

Makes 3 shot servings. Stays in the fridge for up to 3 days.

What you need:

  • 2 lemons
  • 2-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

What to do:

  1. juice the two lemons into a blender.
  2. peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces. then add it to the lemon juice.
  3. add the orange juice, turmeric, and black pepper.
  4. blend until fully mixed.
  5. strain if you don’t like pulpy juice, or, if you’re like me, keep the chunks in there.
